Demonstrations and teaching of throwing small and larger vessels on the wheel.
Max. no. of 12 participants sharing 6 wheels. When not practicing on the wheel participants can be learning by watching others and listening to Clare’s feedback/teaching to others, or preparing their clay for their next turn on the wheel.
Aim:
Inexperienced to learn the basics in centring and making small vessels so they can build on this foundation themselves.
Experienced to refresh/refine their techniques and to learn how to create larger wheel-thrown vessels.

Demonstration, teaching & practice for trimming of leather-hard vessels created.
Demonstration by Clare of slip application with sponges, layering of coloured slips and scraffito technique to leather-hard bowls.
Aim:
To learn and practice a range of techniques for trimming and finishing the thrown vessels, and an insight into the technique of scraffito.
Cost = $70 per person + materials + firing
