Old School building

The Old School Arts Centre is run by the Raglan Community Arts Council Inc. in a 19th century heritage building at 5 Stewart St, Raglan, New Zealand. The Raglan Arts Council was formed in 1982 and became a Community Arts Council two years later operating under the Arts Council of New Zealand Act. It is now an incorporated society.

Raglan Community Arts Council Incorporated is the local Raglan Whāingaroa arts and creative charity. The Raglan Community Arts Council supports the arts in Raglan and acts as an umbrella organisation for Raglan arts groups and individuals involved in creativity, art and craft.

The Council is an incorporated society (number 50084389) under the Incorporated Societies Act 1908 and a charity (CC24379, 14 May 2008) registered with Charities Services, Department of Internal Affairs under the Charities Act 2005.

Donations are tax deductible.

With exhibitions, concerts, monthly market, community clay shed, films and creative workshops the Old School is a busy place, offering a great deal to both visitors and the local community. Tutors provide clay art workshops, drama and ballet classes. Rooms at the Old School Arts Centre are available for hire for workshops and other events. There is also a commercial kitchen available for hire.
