The Old School Arts Centre is run by the Raglan Community Arts Council, a registered charity. Rooms and facilities are available for rent on a casual or regular basis. Off street parking is available in the front courtyard.
There is an accessible toilet in the Old School building. Accessible parking and a ramp is available behind the Old School. Drive down the lane at the right of the Old School building. If you need assistance push the call button on the corner verandah post below the Accessible Assistance. It rings a chime in the office. The steps at the front door of the Old School have a handrail.
The community gallery regularly hosts exhibitions of local arts. If you’d like to host an exhibition, talk to our coordinators.
The Theatre Workshop is an ideal venue for small events. Hold your classes, practice sessions, meetings, workshops or small conferences here. The room is equipped with a whiteboard and a video projector. A home theatre system can be provided to show DCP, e-cinema and DVD/Blu-ray movies.

Music Performances / Gigs
The Theatre Room can be booked for music performances and gigs. The Community Gallery is also available when there isn’t an exhibition on. Both rooms are suitable for house concert style intimate performances. With all timber surfaces the Community gallery is ideal for acoustic performances. Audience numbers usually range from 20 to 40. The music space rental fee is $95 with performers keeping the door. This fee includes promotion in our monthly What’s On newsletter, poster distribution, website and Facebook listings plus an advert in the Raglan Chronicle. With two months notice the Arts Centre can open its Foyer Cafe & Bar. If you’d like to host a gig, talk to our coordinators. For some music events we may agree on a small set fee paid to performers with the Arts Centre taking the door.
The Old School Arts Centre has an ongoing programme of Creative Workshops. These include raranga, harakeke, mosaics, felting, painting, drawing, pottery, drama, dance and music.
