May 10: LIVE & LOCAL at the Old School

Friday May 10 at Raglan Old School Arts Centre, 5 Stewart Street, Raglan. Upstairs in Whare Tapere.

Koha entry. Doors open at 7pm with Live & Local starting at 7.30pm. Bar open.

Our popular Live & Local featuring local performers continues…

Live & Local will be celebrating NZ Music Month with local musicians playing original songs and classic Kiwi covers.

Musketeer is a live looping project by Sam M, a songwriter and electric guitarist who’s made his home in Whaingaroa for the last half decade. This is the ‘coming out’ set for this project and will feature a selection of upbeat, rocky, groovy, polyrhythmic tracks.

Long time Raglan resident & blues/country/rock maestro Dave Maybee is looking forward to playing a set of his originals, penned over a lifetime of recording & musical performance. Stylistically – a little bit of this and a little bit of that, played on a selection of instruments.

The Blister Sisters

The Blister Sisters will round out the evening with a bunch of (mostly) new Kiwi covers, played in their usual irreverent style. Never mind the songs harmed in the making of this set – it’s all about the outfits!
