At Raglan Old School Arts Centre, 5 Stewart St Raglan

Enter the magical world of reading as the Old School gallery space transforms into a pop-up bookshop showcasing Raglan’s talent.

Local authors, illustrators and publishers will have their books on display to browse and buy. There will also be readings, talks and opportunities to connect with the creators to discuss book, illustration and writing projects – theirs or your own.   Different writers will take up residency during March for you to meet and learn about their creative journey.

Saturday 4 March Wanda Barker featuring her book ‘All Her Dark Pretty Thoughts’ a gripping poetry novel asking us to consider whose truth prevails.   

Sunday 5 March local chef and author Colin Chung and his book ‘Kana Vinaka’, a cook book offering practical knowledge and tasty island cuisine.

Tuesday 7 March, 6-8pm ‘Mokolife’ author Tracey Cooper will talk, delving into the moko kauae practice of East Coast artist Joni Brooking.

Saturday 11 March Susan Flight with her book on art and crafts ‘Taking Flight’.


Sunday 12 March Raglan Creative Market featuring local authors for sale

Wednesday 15 March Dyana Wells, will talk about her semi-autobiographical sailing trilogy- a woman’s search for meaning on an ocean wave

Saturday 18 March Bernadette Gavin with her book ‘By the Light of the Moon’ a story that weaves the high seas sailing adventure and a journey of self-discovery.


Saturday 25 March Sarah Johnson, well-known local children’s book writer.
