We come together to remember the past, hope and plan for the future, and celebrate community with food, music, art and dance. PROGRAMME
Interactive Art Installation - Elisabeth Denis: The conceptual and interactive art installation is mounted in the gallery space as an integrative part of Matariki celebrations here at the Old School.
Matariki menu (fundraiser for Raglan Kindergarten) Come and join us at the Old School Arts Centre for a Matariki Solstice celebration, combining Maori and Celtic traditions to provide a number of ways to mark midwinter/Maori New Year with your family and friends. Music, roving performers and an interactive art installation will fill the whole building. Raglan Kindergarten will be selling hot and delicious pumpkin soup, seafood chowder, mussel fritters and fry-bread (and the bar will be open). ![]() Throughout the evening you can mark the change of season and add to an art work in the gallery. Roving performers will provide entertainment for children (and children at heart) in the first half of the evening. In the second half of the evening there will be a ceilidh upstairs, so bring your dancing shoes!
