A panel of talented and creative tutors are available in a variety of the arts at the Old School Arts Centre and other locations in and around Raglan/Whaingaroa covering a wide range of levels. Classes and workshops run regularly throughout the year.
AFTER SCHOOL ART CLASSES
Kids multimedia art classes (including clay art) held during each school term with funding support from Waikato District Creative Communities NZ and Raglan Lions Club
CLAY TIME PLUS
Classes are in the evening (typically 6pm â€“ 8pm) | They usually run either four or six weeks. Tutored classes are $160 per person (including starter pack of clay, bisque firing and membership if applicable). The price is reduced for members ofÂ RCAC and the Clay Shed group. Specifically developed to help members who are new to working with clay or wish to refresh their skills, to support their development until they are confident and proficient enough to continue working on their own projects at the Wednesday evening members-only Clay Play sessions. DRAMA CLASSES– After school classes for ages 6 to 18 years.
Raglan Theatre Academy is Raglan’s Youth Performing Arts school catering to young people from 6-18 years of age in Raglan and the wider Raglan area of the Waikato. At Raglan Theatre Academy we study: performance and acting techniques, script work, physical theatre, devised theatre, improvisation, movement techniques, theatresports, mime, building confidence, meeting new friends and having fun – all in a supportive environment. We also have extra performance opportunities and work towards a major full-scale production each year.Â Raglan Theatre Academy currently operates its school out of the Old School Arts Centre.
