Ready, set, action for the RAFFAs 2017

Get your entries in for the Raglan Arts Film Festival Awards 2017 and be in to win a share of over $1200 in cash prizes.

Closing Monday, July 31, the red carpet beckons local filmmakers and actors to nominate a movie of any length and genre, provided they have a link with the Raglan Whaingaroa region.

As well as cash prizes, Soundsplash tickets and a variety of vouchers up for grabs, awards crafted by local sculptor Chris Meek will be presented to the winners at the Red Carpet event on Saturday, September 23.

The RAFFAs run alongside the popular Raglan Film Festival from September 15-23, featuring films from New Zealand and overseas.

This year nominations have opened for young and emerging talent with categories for Tamariki – under 12, Rangatahi – 13 to 18 and Emerging Artist as well as Drama, Documentary and Experimental.

The film must be associated with Raglan Whaingaroa – either the filmmakers, production crew or actors, or part of the film must have been shot or edited in Raglan.

Download an application form at or contact us at the Old School Arts Centre in Stewart Street, 07 825 0023 or [email protected] for more details. Deadline for nominations is Monday, July 31.
