Movie- WONDER (4.30pm)

January 20, 2018

NZ HERALD Dominic Corry 4 stars out of 5. "The actors also help a great deal, with Tremblay once again displaying talent beyond his (very few) years. Although the parents have less of a role to play in the film than the poster may suggest, Roberts is a effective grounding presence, as is Owen Wilson as Auggie's dad.

Any cynicism about Wonder's intentions is easily squashed by its emotionally forthright execution. You're guaranteed to leave the theatre with a strong belief in the power of kindness."

Based on the New York Times bestseller, WONDER tells the inspiring and heartwarming story of August Pullman. Born with facial differences that, up until now, have prevented him from going to a mainstream school, Auggie becomes the most unlikely of heroes when he enters the local fifth grade. As his family, his new classmates, and the larger community all struggle to find their compassion and acceptance, Auggie's extraordinary journey will unite them all and prove you can't blend in when you were born to stand out.
