Matt Kambic is a Raglan-based writer, artist and musician. He is a founding member of the Raglan Writers’ Collective / Inkspillers. Most recently, he wrote and directed a new work of theatre: The Sherpa & the Beekeeper ~ Summit on Everest. The play ran for five performances over the last week of May, culminating in a sold-out performance on May 29th, the date of Tenzing Norgay and Edmund Hillary’s historic summitting of Everest. Matt will talk about the play and other creative projects he is involved with, including a graphic novel in development, a short film and more theatre. Sarah is a children’s author based in Whaingaroa Raglan. She is also a proud member of Raglan Inkspillers Writers’ Collective. Sarah’s work is published in Aotearoa and overseas, and some of it has won awards. At live and local she will be reading from her two latest books – both about giraffes. Soul T will sing soulful covers and originals. Andy Duggan and Joe Wilson are local singer songwriters both hailing from the North of England. They’re getting together to duet a handful of their original songs. Expect some folky goodness with a mellow acoustic vibe. Live & Local is supported by Waikato District Creative Communities and presented in association with Raglan Light and Sound and Mark Frost – Bayley’s Real Estate.
