FRIDAY AUGUST 19, 7.30pm, doors open 7pm, Koha entry

Our regular monthly series of Live & Local concerts showcases local professional and amateur singer-songwriters, musicians, poets and comedians. This month we have poetry from Stina Svensson, performing as celestial festival and music from songwriter Tukana Kaya and band The Bad Olive Project.

Celestial Festival is
a young poet with a dream.
Colour, consciousness and inspiration
to open and expand the seam
of your awareness.
Fun and sad, being human in all its wonderful mess.
Striving for collective success!

Tukuna Kaya

Tukana Kaya is a songweaver and story teller from Karioi Maunga. Creating medicinal music from the learnings of life.
Her sound is multidimensional, inspired by nature, poetry, progressive, neo soul, hip hop and roots and classical music.

The Bad Olive Project is a collaborative group who combine electronic bass-heavy beats, delivered by Matt Jenkins, with edgy vocals written by singer/songwriter Maida Barker in collaboration with producer/songwriter Felix Larsen and various other artists.  Cross-genre music including hip hop, trap, dub and rock.
