Yin Yoga. This class is a slower-paced, more meditative version of the popular physical and spiritual discipline of yoga. Karioi Quilts & Crafts - second Thursday of every month.
EVERYONE WELCOME
The Karioi Quilters have been making high quality, natural fibre, artistic quilts for many years. Primarily a patchwork and quilting group, the members meet to share knowledge and skills and enjoy creating in good company.
From 2023, we changed the name to Karioi Quilts and Crafts to open the group up to other crafters.
Members can work on their own projects ranging from quilts, sewing projects and you can even bring your knitting, as long as it’s not a messy craft anything goes. New members are always welcome to come along to work on their own projects and learn techniques from a group of very creative craftspeople.

Meetings are held at the Raglan Old School Arts Centre from 10am to 1pm (sometimes 3pm if the room is available) on the second Thursday of every month. 10 sessions per year from February to December. Subscription is $30 per year which goes towards room hire.

We do not offer any one particular style however we gather our teaching essence from all of the lineages, which our teachers have practiced and studied. The basis of our teaching is on the principles of breath (pranayama), movement (asana) and awareness (meditation). We employ these principles as the basis of our four class styles and we welcome you as a beginner or more advanced yoga practitioner. She released her first song: “GOD KNOWS WHERE”, on her 16th birthday, and captivates audiences with her soulful vocals and natural stage presence.
With her powerful sultry voice, innovative production, and compelling storytelling, Soutli (Teresa Michels) represents a new wave of artists who are pushing the boundaries of electronic music. Raglan has been a wellspring of inspiration for Soulti, where she has honed her craft and emerged as a distinctive voice. Soulti’s performances are known for their emotional resonance and energetic delivery.

In Yin yoga, the poses are held for a long period of time (typically three to five minutes or longer) to target the connective tissues (such as the ligaments) rather than focusing on the muscles. Yoga flow. Raglan Gym classes are a great place to start from any level. We do not offer any one particular style however we gather our teaching essence from all of the lineages, which our teachers have practiced and studied. The basis of our teaching is on the principles of breath (pranayama), movement (asana) and awareness (meditation). We employ these principles as the basis of our four class styles and we welcome you as a beginner or more advanced yoga practitioner. Yoga promotes not only muscle toning, but also you benefit from increased endurance and flexibility. Good for all levels. Every Thursday at 6pm. Free for Gym members, casual $20. By special request, THE BIG BIKE FILM NIGHT is coming to Raglan for the first time.
"Much more than mountain biking films. This was a beautifully curated collection of films each with its own story and while riding bikes was central to most the films were about so much more and would appeal to a much broader group than just keen riders.
5 stars Very cool event showcasing a great diversity of bike-related adventure and history from all around the world."
The 2025 treasure chest of films includes:-
- an exhilarating film that redefines what’s possible on a gravel bike on technically challenging terrains
- a heartwarming documentary that explores the importance of getting outside, no matter where one is on life’s journey
- an uplifting film that follows a group of local bike and snow enthusiasts from Wānaka, who have the desire to bring positive social change to their local community through an annual “bikepack” to the local Ski Resort with all their gear
- a celebration of grit, camaraderie, and the beauty of “Type 2 Fun”, this film is an ode to the ride, not the finish line
- an inspiring mountain bike ride through back country Queenstown that is both poetic and meaningful
- a life-changing experience for a group of friends who undertake a trip to a bothie (hut) in the Highlands of Scotland to show what can be achieved by people with disabilities in relation to having adventures
- a film that celebrates the art of “winging it” and how travelling by bicycle and the power of exploration can obliterate preconceptions and contribute to understanding others
