An exciting new series of concerts is starting at The Raglan Old School Arts Centre this month.

Each LIVE & LOCAL concert will feature sets from three outstanding local acts, along with some shorter supporting acts. The series of shows are open to a variety of musicians, singer-songwriters, actors, poets, comedians and other performers. Live & Local is an initiative arising from the Ministry of Social Developmentâ€™s Covid Resilience Funding.

The Arts Centre had fewer concerts and performers had reduced opportunities to perform last year due to Covid. The MSD funding is being used to give local performers a showcase and the potential to try out new material or new collaborations.

The first Live & Local will be on August 15. Keep an eye on our Facebook page and website for the announcements of whoâ€™s playing! And come along to support our local artists!

Live & Local will be a regular event on the third Sunday of every month. If you are interested in performing in future concerts, contact Penni: music@raglanartscentre.co.nz

The office is open Mondays to Fridays from 10am to 2pm for pre-purchase of tickets or to pay for reserves. We accept online reserve requests up to about 1 pm on the day of screening provided the session isn't already full. Online reserves are available for payment from 30 minutes before the start of a session to 15 minutes before the start. From 15 minutes before the start they will be resold if the session is full.
