Following from their sell-out concert at the Old School Arts Centre last year, Sarah and Sue Court are showcasing a new programme of songs with guitar, on Saturday 22nd April at 7.30pm. The theme for their concert â€œHeart Stringsâ€ is on Love Loss and Lament to mark Anzac day a few days later. Come and enjoy their music selected from the genres of Country, Music Theatre, Classical and Spanish music which touches both serious and lighter moods.

Sue and Sarah have between them over 4 decades of professional music making; they have recently settled in the Waitetuna Valley area with their horses and where Sue makes custom-built guitars.

The Karioi Quilters have been making high quality, natural fibre, artistic quilts for many years. Primarily a patchwork and quilting group, the members meet to share knowledge and skills and enjoy creating in good company. From 2023, we changed the name to Karioi Quilts and Crafts to open the group up to other crafters. Members can work on their own projects ranging from quilts, sewing projects and you can even bring your knitting, as long as it’s not a messy craft anything goes. New members are always welcome to come along to work on their own projects and learn techniques from a group of very creative craftspeople.
